Event Description
Assessment Through Intervention: A Trauma-Informed Approach for Neurodiverse Children, Teens, and Young Adults
CE Credits: 3.0
An essential step in addressing the needs of your client is the transition from assessment to intervention. Communication and collaboration between the clinician who conducts the evaluation, and the practitioner who implements recommendations is critical. So often, obtaining results from a comprehensive evaluation is overwhelming to a client and/or their family. It can also be confusing to the client’s ongoing providers.
This presentation will provide information about the different types of evaluations, from IEPs to neuropsychological evaluations. It will include a careful description of each step involved in conducting comprehensive evaluations including the feedback session conducted with the client,
and the involvement of practitioners providing the interventions recommended by the neuropsychologist or clinical psychologist. This presentation will support providers in identifying ways to clarify what type of evaluation is best for their client and how to find a psychologist or neuropsychologist who is the best fit.
