The Washington State Psychological Association (WSPA) Chapter 1 March meeting and
1-CE (continuing education) event is happening Tuesday, 3/26/19, 6-8pm at Luigi’s Italian Restaurant (245 W. Main Ave, Spokane).
Some reminders about meetings:
1) If you are a WSPA or IPA (Idaho Psychological Association) member, the 1-credit CE is no additional charge

2) Non-members are also welcome: $15 check to WSPA buys the CE credit
a. Payment can be provided to me, or mailed to WSPA at 9 S. Washington St, Suite 201, Spokane WA 99201
3) No host menu (food, drinks, etc.) is available at the restaurant
4) Please forward this email to colleagues who might like to attend
Agenda:
We will have networking and a short business meeting, 6-7pm
Robert A Sammons, Jr., M.D., Ph.D. will then present, 7-8pm, “Clinical Overview of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation”: Psychotherapy and medications remain the first line of treatment for patients with depression, yet every practice has patients who do not respond to either. TMS is an intermediary step between treatment failure and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Learn the history, understand the mechanism of action, the indications for referral, and the process of this non-systemic and non-invasive procedure. This presentation is non-promotional and has been approved by the Clinical TMS Society.
